Future WCA Conferences
At Spring Conference 2011 this last May, the WCA selected five Wyoming cities to cycle through to help with planning and to give everybody in the state at least one year in five when their travel distances will be minimal. The five cities are Rock Springs, Thermopolis, Buffalo, Laramie and Jackson. The next WCA Spring Conference, in 2012, will be held in Rock Springs.
The WCA Spring Conference 2012 is going to be held at the Holiday In of Rock Springs. This spring's event is being expanded from past spring conferences with the addition of more seminar opportunities, a hosted Saturday night dinner for all attendees, and a much improved round of vendors displaying their wares. The schedule of events includes
Friday, May 18th, 12pm-1pm: Registration
Friday, May 18th, 1pm: Conference opens
Friday, May 18th, 1pm-4pm: 1st session of presentations
Saturday, May 19th, 7am-8am: Continental breakfast
Saturday, May 19th, 8-am-12pm: 2nd session of presentations
Saturday, May 19th, 12pm-2pm: WCA General Membership Meeting
Saturday, May 19th, 2pm-6pm: 3rd session of presentations
Saturday, May 19th, 7pm-9pm: Hosted Saturday evening dinner for all
Sunday, May 20th, 7am-8am: Continental breakfast
Sunday, May 20th, 8am-12pm: 4th session of presentations
Sunday, May 20th, 12pm-1pm: Continued General Membership meeting if needed
Sunday, May 20th, 1pm: Conference closes
A block of rooms are reserved for WCA attendees at the rate of $99 per night. The cut-off date for these rates is May 10th, 2012. You can contact the Reservation desk of the Holiday Inn at (307) 382-9200.
Our primary speaker will be Kathy Mills Chang who will give a detailed presentation on the particulars of the upcoming move to ICD-10 coding requirements. More details about her presentation, others who are speaking and vendors who will be displaying will be available soon.
