COCSA Concerns through the First Half of 2012
For just a little “food for thought,” here are a few of the items that are being shared and discussed by the various state associations through COCSA, the Congress of Chiropractic State Associations. This gives a good taste of the many important issues confronting chiropractic in the nation today and supports the importance of meeting with other practitioners from around Wyoming to discuss these items and others at state conference:
•
Business partnerships between chiropractors and other medical providers in Wyoming
•
The definition of “essential benefits” in the developing world of PPACA as this new law goes into effect
•
Educational changes being promoted by CCE, the Council on Chiropractic Education
•
Efforts to provide chiropractic coverage for veterans in VA facilities around the nation
•
Insurance exchanges and the efforts of the SummitGR group
•
ICD-10 updates, EHR/office management software and record keeping in chiropractic offices
Much is happening in the world of chiropractic around the nation and in our state and a number of these issues could have a significant impact in the near future. Again, come join us at Spring Conference 2012 in Rock Springs, meet with friends and practitioners from around the state to keep abreast of these issues and concerns to chiropractors everywhere.
